I just got home from a week with my family in Florida, where I swam in the ocean every day, communed with manatees, ate lots of things, got/gave lots of presents and generally acted like/got treated as an indulged teenager. It was very nice. But now I’m back in NYC after a very long subway ride from the airport (there was a street magician) and it’s very cold here and my creaky old building seems to be undergoing some dubiously legal renovations that require the heat to be shut off, but I’ll probably pass out from dust inhalation before I freeze to death so I have to do dumb adult things like call my super and get back to work, and all this is making me make my TINY FACE OF DISAPPROVAL.
